Long Range Weather Forecast

All suggestions are it will be a fine and hot day so hydrate then re-hydrate then do it again! Extended BOM forecast = Fine, with less than 25% chance of Rain. Min 14 Max 29


The registration tent and main waiting area is located at the Riverside Green (see South Bank Map). Team name and individual details will be held at the registration desk – you will receive waiver and runners bibs when you register. Please arrive in time to meet your start time. All team members do not need to register at the same time – allowing those starting early to turn up first HOWEVER please make sure you are registered well in advance of your own start time for the team.


All runners are encouraged to stay on for the Presentation to each category winner at approx 3.30- 4.00pm.

Waiting Area

Runners are able to use all of the South Bank facilities during the course of the day. The main waiting area is on the Riverside Green. There is also a small playground here for families who wish to watch the event during the course of the day and we will have a small quantity of drinks available for sale during the day.

Start/Finish and Transition Point

The start, finish and transition point for all relay runners is directly in front of the registration tents on the Riverside Green. These will be located along the front of the Clem Jones Promenade.

Personal Security

There will not be a cloak room. Whilst we will have a general waiting area where you can keep your belongings security of personal belongings is your own responsibility.

Racer Nutrition

Hammer Nutrition our race sponsor will be providing each runner with Hammer Energy Bar, and Hammer Energy Gel. Also at the water points there will be High Energy Electrolyte Drink. Runners are encouraged to also bring their own nutritional requirements. See article below on “How to Fuel for an Ultra Run”.


All Individual Runners and Teams will have their time recorded. We will not record individual splits for participants running in a team. Only the teams total result will be recorded.

Race results

Will be submitted to the Australian Ultra Runners Association for any AURA registered ultra runners.

Race Bibs

Runners must have their race bibs visible at all times.


Always listen and respect volunteers and marshals. Decision by the Event organiser or Race Director is final.

Acts of God

The Event Organiser and Race Director maintain the right to cancel, postpone or stop the event at any time should weather conditions become dangerous. In any such event no refunds will be offered.


We will have professional Masseurs who have volunteered their time across the course of the day should you require a tune up. This is a free service and should not be abused i.e. no full body massages….

First Aid

We will have personnel qualified in first aid on the course. All water stations have communications back to the main waiting area. In the event of an injury sustained and depending on the nature of the injury you will either remain in situ or make your way back to the nearest water station. We will assess the injury and coordinate first aid and/or medical evacuations if required. There is vehicle access to most of the course. A hospital is located within 10km.
