How far is the River Run 100?

There are four events on the day a 100km Ultra Marathon a 50 km Ultra a 20km Run and a 10km Run – So no excuses we have an event for everyone.

Do you need to be an Ultra Runner or mega fit to run?

NO – whilst you can do the ultra run individual you are also able to participate in the 100km or 50km as a team so you could run as little as 10km. So anyone can get involved.

Are there many hills to contend with?

The course follows the river along predominantly flat bike paths utilising a 10km course and a 5km course. The only slight gradient is across the good will bridge – however this is nominal.

Can I run if I am under 18 years old?

Yes, only if a parental consent form is signed. Children younger than 13 are not permitted.

Where are the toilets located?

Toilets are located throughout South Bank – see Map

Where are the water stations?

There are 2 water stations. One at the Riverside Green main transition area and the second at the half way mark on the Green Course. This allows for water to be available every 5km. – see Map

When do registrations close?

Registrations close at 6pm on the Friday before the event (two days out)

Can I register on the day?

ONLY 20km and 10km individual runners are able to register on the day however in order to ensure you receive your full registration kit pre registration is required. Registrations on the day will only receive a race bib.

When will I receive my race bib?

Please ensure you arrive at least 30minutes prior to your start time to check in and receive your race pack.

Do you store my card and / or security details?

No. We do not store these details.

Are there parking facilities available?

Yes.  Parking at Secure Parking Carpark SW1 located at 32 Cordelia Street South Brisbane. Secure Parking has offered a special promotion to River Run Runners for online bookings only. Use there Secure-a-Spot booking system at (or use RIVERRUN18 promotion code at the Checkout.

Is it possible to obtain a refund?

We are a charity event serving the local community. Please understand that once an entry has been accepted, we are not in a position to provide a refund should you choose to withdraw from the event or otherwise unable to make it.

Can I transfer my entry to someone else?

Yes. It is your responsibility to ensure your details are updated on check in on the day of the event.

Do I have to fundraise?

No. Choosing a charity and fundraising is at your own discretion and is not mandatory – however you are making the effort so why not ask your friends to throw in a few dollars for the charity of your choice.
